2016 TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
Stephanie Krause, a ninth and tenth grade
English teacher at Byron Center High School, was presented with the AP Tutors
2016 Teacher of the Year Award on Tuesday, May 10. Aimee Paulson of AP Tutors, Principal Joseph
and the nominating student surprised Ms. Krause during her 3 hour
class to present the award.
“She works with all her students and makes sure no one falls
behind. She encourages the A students to push their limits and for all the
other students to become A students,” the nominating student wrote. “She cares
about our lives, she asks us how everything’s going. She always makes sure
we’re happy, that we are doing okay. She is a good teacher that is also your
friend at the same time.”
AP Tutors, asked students all over Grand Rapids to nominate a teacher who made a
difference for them and made learning fun. Students wrote a paragraph
explaining why their teacher should win.
Mrs. Paulson along with her tutoring staff reviewed all the submissions
and selected Ms. Krause from the entries to win a $50 gift card and a Teacher
of the Year award certificate.
